Lisa definitely deserves 5+1000 stars. She was amazing for our engagement session, and her and her assistant Ian were absolutely amazing for our wedding on 9/14/19. Lisa is so personable and has an amazing eye for amazing shots. We were not into the typical shots, so when we shared pinterest boards with stuff we didn't want and things we liked, she was so accommodating and tailored the experiences fully to us. We were so overjoyed with all the photos she took of us and were so lucky to have her as our photographer leading up to our wedding and on our special day. I couldn't recommend any more highly!

Lisa was the absolute BEST photographer I have ever worked with! She did such an awesome job managing our large families and her second photographer did a great job keeping the kids engaged in the pictures! She was so attentive to detail and lighting! Lisa was a perfect photographer for us on our wedding day for many reasons: #1. She made everyone comfortable definitely including photo-awkward-bride and groom, and even all other family members. She sometimes "made" us laugh like children! We had so much fun before/after the ceremony. #2. Her works are stunning. I love the results. Basic composition, idea, and all other raw photos are beautiful, amd post production photos are even more beautiful. I just loved it. #3. We didn't need to prepare, think about, care about anything. She showed up early, took care of all the business, suggested nice locations and postures. #4. She has many flexible options for the package. Super flexible, super accessible (yeah, we even did skype during the weekend.).

WOW - That summarizes our wedding experience with Lisa and her second shooter, Bryn. We were managing numerous families, step families, etc. and they did a wonderful job of figuring out who belonged with who and managing the family dynamics. They were quick with the "formal and requisite" family photos, and spent a ton of time with us on candids in very cool downtown St. Paul locations. Lisa had creative ideas for night shots and we were delighted with the final product. We received a ton of photos within a couple weeks of the wedding and our family and friends have been very impressed with the work. Thank you Lisa!

Poppy Seed Photography did a phenomenal job taking pictures at our wedding. Lisa and her assistant were very detail oriented making sure to capture the best shots. We went outside when the light was hitting the buildings just right so she could capture that perfect moment. She also did some motion capture pictures of us so she can get the blurred lights from cars in the background of our shots. I also thoroughly enjoyed her pictures of us and our families in the alley between the buildings in St. Paul. At first, I wasn't sold on the background but when I saw the finished product, I was amazed how great they came out and I'm glad we had the alley as our background. I'm glad we choose them for our wedding and would recommend them for weddings or other functions.

Lisa and her assistant were absolutely amazing to work with. They listened to all our wishes in terms of style, aesthetic, and desired shots and made our special day even more enjoyable. Everything felt easy and fun working with them. They were also able to meet our tight budget and we got our photos in less than 2 weeks! I can't recommend working with Poppyseed enough.

I wish I could give Lisa more than five stars. She was highly recommended by our wedding venue and once I met her, I knew she was a great fit for us. She was very personable but I could tell she knew her stuff and the examples of her work were phenomenal. She was always very responsive to our questions and on wedding day, made us feel so comfortable that it was easy to be ourselves in front of the camera. Our wedding party consisted of our 8 and 11 year old and she fantastic with the kids. Her second shooter Brynn was also wonderful. In just a little over two weeks after our wedding, we received our gallery and wow! I cried while looking at them (and so did our parents!). The images were BEAUTIFUL and she captured us and our day so well. The major added bonus of booking with Lisa is that your get a great person to be with you for a large chunk of your incredibly important day - she is lovely, kind, and fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or book with Lisa and Poppy Seed in the future!

Lisa is amazing and quick and knows what works and what doesn't. She dealt with a lot of push back from the groomsmen (been drinking all day) but she handled it like a champ, she gave it right back to them! I (being the bride) was sick with bronchitis and the weather didn't seem to care, but Lisa did. She knew we could get some amazing shots outside so she was quick and to the point so I spent as little time as possible in cold. Her and her assistant both made sure I was dealing with it all OK and that I was always comfortable. I will surely be using her in the future for some Family photos.

Lisa and Poppy Seed Photography were the best! They were able to capture every special moment of our wedding without us really knowing they were there. Lisa is warm and comfortable to work with and was able to work with all of my young bridesmaids ages 5-10 with patience and charm. She also paid special attention to my father who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. Although he is in the late stages of his illness and often doesn't remember who I am, Lisa was able to capture what may be the last picture I have with my Dad.
